Sorting in Kindergarten

We worked on a new math goal today. We are practicing sorting objects by various traits. We sorted by size, shape, and color as a class. Then, we separated and worked on sorting with a collection of math pieces. The children did a great job and everyone was able to sort and explain why they sorted the way they did. We then discussed whether or not they could sort the pieces in a different way.
